Knowing Yourself Better Is A Necessity!

“Even if it makes others uncomfortable, I will love who I am.”
– Janelle Monáe

Self-awareness is the ability to take an honest look at yourself and at your life without any critical judgement to it being right or wrong. It is the practice that everyone can improve at. It means knowing your weaknesses, your strengths and what motivates you.

Self-awareness is about not losing yourself to others and things. It is understanding that we are all different in our own special ways. It is knowing and being comfortable with the fact that being different or liking different things is not wrong or a weakness, it is just the way of life.

Self-awareness gives you the capacity to learn from your mistakes as well as your successes and therefore enables you to keep growing. Self-awareness is probably the most important thing that allows you to unleash your greatness. It makes you love yourself unashamedly even if it makes others uncomfortable. It is self-awareness that leads to making better choices and priorities. Remember, we are our choices, so, if you can’t choose well, you can’t live well! It is that simply.

Self-awareness is not an option or a luxury but a serious necessity. Without self-awareness, we truly are as babies in the cradles. Socrates said, “The unexamined life is not worth living.” This talks about living your life with a low level of self-awareness.

My purpose in this life is to help you save yourself from self-sabotage. A high level of self-awareness leads to humility not self-centredness. It is being comfortable with yourself and accepting that there’s still more to learn about yourself and life.
