Ego and jealousy are negative states of mind that determine your altitude in life. You’ve heard that your attitude determines how high you’ll fly in life. With ego and jealousy, you don’t even get to fly because you are too much heavy with negativity.
When you are a victim of ego and jealousy, you specialize in finding faults in all the good things or achievements of others. A person who achieves something you can’t is a threat because thy steal your show, they dim your light. They take all the attention from you. You always portray yourself as better than others hence if they ever get something better than yours, it’s a war.
When you are a victim of ego and jealousy, you never say thank you; you never say I don’t know and you never say can you please show me or teach me that! You never ask for help not because you don’t need it but simply because you’ll feel exposed and appear weak.
Jealousy is the cousin of greed. We seem to focus on what we want and lose sight of what we really need. We always have a chance to make our life beautiful but it’s the ego and jealousy that hampers our chance. Ego is just like a dust in the eyes, without clearing the dust, you can’t see anything clearly, so clear the ego and see the world.
With ego and jealousy, you never say ‘thank you’; ‘I don’t know’; ‘can you teach or show me that!’ these words never exist because you are blinded and only confined to ‘me’. You never play the ball but the man. You are too special to stay on the ground, you were created to soar higher but ego and jealousy keep you grounded because you are too heavy with negativity. You have God’s special gifts and talents that the world has it seen yet and now is the time to take them out!
