“Don’t ask me where do I get the time to produce these great results. Ask me what do I sacrifice to produce them, the time is equal for all of us, 24hrs in a day.” – Veli Ndaba – ‘The Engineered Mind – to WIN’
There’s always so much to do in a day but the time remains the same, 24hrs, and that you cannot change but, what you can change is what you do in the time given. This is simply about priorities and sacrifices. It’s never about the amount of time you have but how you prioritise your activities. So, learning to prioritise your activities accordingly is a major skill to develop.
The truth is that success leaves clues and hence predictable. Both success and failure are predicable. Everything in life was designed to function by laws and it is these laws that make life predictable and simple but not easy. Success is not what you’ve done compared to what others have done but how you’ve moved towards your goal from where you’ve been. Success has to do with fulfilling your own assignment and purpose. These laws I’m talking about have been extensively studied and are universal and permanent and are the same for all of us. If you are successful, it’s so because there’s a law/s you are obeying and if you are failing it’s because there’s a law/s you are disobeying. Study these laws and you’ll have a piece of mind.
In my latest book SWITCH ON! I dedicated a chapter, chapter 13 on explaining some of these laws. One of these laws is The Law of Gestation: States that everything, especially of value, takes time to manifest. All things have a beginning and grow into form as more energy is added to it. Thoughts are like seeds planted in our fertile minds that bloom into our physical experience if we have nourished them. This is something super important to understand. Practice your craft or an idea that you have and do so over and over and over with the appreciation and understanding that in time, it will manifest.
How to apply this is your life? Stay focused, keep working on your craft and know that your goals will become a reality when the time is right. Just trust the process!
The other law is the Law of Rhythm: States that everything has a natural cycle. The tides go in and back out, night follows day, and life regenerates itself. We all have good times and bad times, but nothing stays the same. Change is constant. Knowing that, “This too shall pass” is great wisdom about life’s ebb and flow. When you are on a downswing, know that things will get better. Think of the good times.
These, are but only two of the many laws that govern life. So, hoping, believing and having faith without understanding and applying these laws will truly be in vain as nothing will tend to work well for you most of the time. Someone once said that if all the money were to be taken out of the rich people’s pockets and be equally shared among every person in the world, it would soon be back in the same pockets of the rich people. This indicates that without understanding these natural laws, you’ll always bump your head against the walls and keep wondering as to why things aren’t going well for you. The world has long been waiting for you, SWITCH ON! and shine your light.
