The flower doesn’t dream of the bee, it blossoms and the bee comes. No matter how much you are wishing, praying and hoping for greater things in your life, they will never come until you attract them by becoming attractive. If they happen to ever come before you are ready, they will soon enough disappear and leave you frustrated, disappointed and disillusioned. This attractiveness is self-confidence.
Self-confidence is the most attractive quality a person can have. How can anyone see how great you are if you can’t see it yourself. Confidence isn’t walking in the room with your nose in the air, and thinking you are better than everyone else, it’s walking into a room and not having to compare yourself to anyone else in the first place. In short, the less confidence you have in yourself the faster you’ll give up trying to get what you want, that’s a fact. When you have less confidence, you easily become intimidated, even shadows intimidate you.
To succeed in life, you need two things: Ignorance and Confidence. Confidence is like a muscle, the more you use it, the stronger it gets. Confidence is not worrying about what if people don’t like you, but it is about you feeling and saying, ‘I’ll be fine if they don’t like me.’ Confidence is about performing to your own standards, and not conforming to other people’s expectations of you – that’s where ignorance comes in. It is about knowing that you are enough to challenge whatever needs to be challenged without worrying about what others will think of you.
This self-confidence leads to charisma, it connects you with people and opens up doors for you. You can acquire all the academic qualifications in the world but if you lack self-confidence, they really won’t count much in the real world resulting in frustration and despondency.
