Never allow yourself to be in someone else’s back pocket, people’s opinions of you must not dictate how you should live your life, you are too special for that.
Most people are seriously not serious about reaching their higher selves. They are living under the illusion that greatness is about being given the permission by somebody else, wake up and realise that you hold the key to your happiness. To me true happiness is not just the state of having things but the state of being. The state of being comfortable in who you are, realising that you are worthy, realising that you are God’s special creation with unique and special gifts, realising that your life counts and that you have dignity. Happiness is the state of understanding that life about taking risks. I am reminded of Dr Viscot who said, “If you cannot take a risk, you cannot grow; If you cannot grow, you cannot be your best; if you cannot be your best, you cannot be happy and if you cannot be happy than what else is there?” This simply means that you must stop focusing of what you have to lose and start focusing on what you have to be to reach your greatness.
Life is a process of self-discovery, discovering your strengths, your interests, your gifts and talents. It is understanding that it is in your uniqueness that you will find your specialness, sadly though, most people are striving to be like everybody else, they follow the lost and confused masses in order to be liked and appear relevant instead of focusing on their uniqueness and claim their happiness and freedom.
You were born to deliver a special message in this world through your uniqueness and that’s the reason you are alive, so stop tip-toeing through life and live boldly.
