“If one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavours to live the life which he has imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours.”– Henry David Thoreau
Until you realize that you are the one who must give yourself a permission to live the life you deserve, you will miss out on a great life and person you could have been. Most people never realize that the time is always ripe to do right. Until you say, I’ve had it; I am sick of this; this is the last time I ever carry tiny and little dreams that don’t challenge me; I am really sick and tired of being sick and tired! Until you say these words and really mean them, you will forever be stuck in a life of mediocrity. You will always do just enough to survive and continue tip-toeing through life.
Thoreau further said that if you confidently push forward, you will automatically put some things behind, pass some invisible boundaries; new, universal, and more liberal laws will begin to establish themselves around and within you; or the old laws will be expanded, and interpreted in your favour in a more liberal sense, and you will live with the license of a higher order of beings. This simply means that we must walk by faith not by sight, this is a bible version of this. In order to live a life you have never lived, you have to become a person you’ve never been, period. So, these following steps will help you become the person you have never been:
- Give yourself a permission to live the life you deserve. Acknowledge that this is your time and that you are the key to your future.
- Let it sink in your mind that you are worthy of great things in life and that you are deserving of everything your heart desires.
- Never let your NET-WORTH determine your SELF-WORTH. Your SELF-WORTH is about your self-esteem, self-image and self-confidence. This is appreciating and embracing who God made you to be. NET-WORTH on the other hand is about your assets minus your debts. This is a financial metric that measures success. This is more important in a business world. Sadly, we compare importance using this financial metric as a measure.
- Read a lot on the subject of how to increase your SELF-WORTH and in time, your NET-WORTH will follow suit. So, simply put, your SELF-WORTH is directly proportional to your NETWORTH.
You are the one you have been waiting for all along, not better and favourable conditions, not someone else to do it for you, but yourself. I believe in your specialness and uniqueness, that’s what the world needs. So, be yourself and realize that THIS IS YOUR TIME TO SHINE!
